The GW Alumni Association sponsors several annual awards programs to recognize the professional and volunteer achievements of GW graduates.

Alumni Achievement Award
The Alumni Achievement Award is the highest form of recognition given by the university and The George Washington Alumni Association to an alumnus on an annual basis. The Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award recognizes the professional achievements of alumni. The Recent Alumni Achievement Award is given to graduates of the last 10 years who have attained notable achievements in their field of endeavor.

Alumni Outstanding Service Award
The Alumni Outstanding Service Award highlights the contributions made by alumni through service to the university. The Jane Lingo Alumni Outstanding Service Award is awarded annually to a faculty or staff member who also is an alumnus/a of the university, and who consistently advances the mission of the university through dedicated volunteer efforts in support of its programs.

GWAA Prize
The association awards the GWAA Prize to one graduating student in each of the university's schools who has shown exceptional commitment to GW and its community.
