We will be looking for your pictures! And remember, check back often to find everything you need to know about Alumni Weekend 2010, September 30-October 3—the full schedule and description of events, lists of who’s attending—and to see where George is around the globe!

Eligibility, entry period, prize details, and winner selection and notification procedures are detailed below. By entering this photo contest, you agree to all of the rules of entry and to all of the terms and conditions listed below.

Where’s George is open to all alumni and students. To be entered you must be registered for Alumni Weekend 2010 and attend at least one Alumni Weekend event. Full-time staff of the GW Division of Development and Alumni Relations may submit photos, but are not eligible to win an iPad.

To enter without submitting a photo, write the words of the GW Fight Song on a postcard with your name, GWid #, and email address, and mail it to: Alumni Weekend Photo, c/o Alumni House, 1918 F Street, NW, Washington, DC 20052

Submissions will be accepted starting May 1, 2010 and ending September 20, 2010, 5 pm EST. All entries must be received within this time period in order to be entered for the prize. The Office of Alumni Relations reserves the right to modify the deadline for submissions due to circumstances beyond its control.

Please submit your original photograph by one of the four methods listed above. No other method of entry will be accepted. Entrants must provide their name, class year, address, and phone number with their submission.

You may submit as many photographs as you wish; however, only one photograph will be entered for the drawing. Photos, regardless of the medium, will not be returned.

By entering, you warrant that the photograph that you submit is original and is your own, and does not infringe on the rights of any third party. You further warrant that your participation in this photo contest does not violate any agreement between you and a third party.

Photos must be appropriate for posting on a public website. Obscene, provocative or otherwise questionable content will be removed and not considered for the drawing. The Office of Alumni Relations retains sole discretion as to what constitutes inappropriate content.

The Office of Alumni Relations in its sole judgment shall determine whether a photograph meets all the requirements for entry into the drawing.

By entering your photo you grant the Office of Alumni Relations the non-exclusive right to publish, use, distribute, reproduce and publicly display your photograph, and to create derivative works from your photograph, in perpetuity, in any of its online, print or other media publications, materials or exhibitions, for purposes of promoting Alumni Weekend 2010, including but not limited to for editorial, advertising, publicity, and fundraising purposes, without payment of compensation unless prohibited by law. You grant the Office of Alumni Relations permission to provide your name, and your city and state of residence, when publishing, reproducing or otherwise using your photo and when identifying you as an entrant or prize winner in the photo contest.

After the close of the entry period, eligible images will be entered into a drawing to receive a new Apple iPad. The drawing will take place on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Taste of GW event. To claim the prize you must be registered for Alumni Weekend 2010 and attend one event during the weekend. Failure of both of these requirements will mean the selection of an alternate winner.
