Alumni Weekend 2009

Thank you for making Alumni Weekend 2009
a truly memorable celebration.

Thousands of alumni, friends, and families returned to the GW campus on October 1-4 to reconnect and reminisce during Alumni Weekend 2009. With 70+ events on the schedule, alumni were able to enjoy lectures, tours, parties, exhibitions, and performances—most of them free. Several affinity reunions were also held including a first-time Athletics celebration

Other highlights of the weekend included:

  • A Caribbean-themed kick-off party on University Yard
  • GW President Steven Knapp's "State of the University" conversation with moderator Dick Golden.  Click here to view video.
  • A Taste of GW and Family Carnival featuring entertainment and food from alumni owned and operated restaurants across the D.C. area including Agraria Farmers and Fishers, Best Cellars, CakeLove, Cakes by Happy Eatery, Founding Farmers, Rosa Mexicano, Sangam Restaurant, Tonic at Quigley's Pharmacy, and Wasabi Sushi.
  • A "Sunday Conversation" with ABC News' Sam Donaldson
