The founders of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

In honor of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, we would like to take a moment to pay tribute to our Most Illustrious Founders. Undoubtedly, these sixteen women are among those that deserve acknowledgement. These dynamic women provided the foundation upon which our beloved sorority was built.

We are a sorority which continues to consist of women of distinction, sophistication and high ethical standards. This tradition began
Tuesday, January 15,1908 on the campus of Howard University.
And ninety years later we continue to prevail in all things we do!!

In the words of Soror Marjorie H. Parker, "Alpha Kappa Alpha women still come together in love. They stay together to try. They continue to strive for more commitment to excellence, richer expression of love, and opportunities for mutually rewarding service."

Let us reflect on her words and affirm our everlasting love for the prodigious women who gave life to our sisterhood...a sisterhood like no other!
