"We use "expand your mind" as a cliche more than a way to describe experiences these days. There are some experiences out there, however, that still merit its sincere use. For me, three months in China through AIESEC was such an experience. Before, China was an abstract concept to me (mostly defined by cheap take-out and poorly dubbed martial arts movies).

Now, it's a whole world filled with the richness of the human experience seen through the eyes of another civilization. AIESEC's job placement and cultural preparation services made it possible for me to leave behind the worries of what I would be doing or whether I'd be able to handle the newness of another place so unlike my home, and focus on making the most of the experiences, the challenges, and the friends whom I keep in touch with to this day.

Now I hope to pursue my career after grauation in China, a choice which I can honestly say I would never have made were it not for AIESEC. I want the challenge. I'm ready for it; and for that I have AIESEC to thank. "
