AEP Charity Stripe
3-on-3 Basketball Tournament
Rules and Regulations

The following rules and regulations apply to the AEP Charity Stripe 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament
being held at the Charles E. Smith Center on November 30th, 2000.

 

Event Date and Time:
The event will take place on Thursday, November 30th, 2000, at the Smith Center.
Games will begin at 7:30pm and will go on until the final match has been played.

Registration Requirements:

All players must have a valid GWorld Card ID in order to register and play

All players must sign a waiver prior to entering in tournament (waiver available at Rec Sports)

Entry fee must be paid by registration deadline

Teams may consist of no less than three (3) and no more than four (4) players (3 players and 1 alternate)

Tournament Format:

All Games are single elimination

Games are played in two (2) ten (10) minute halves

There is one (1) three (3) minute half time break

All games start, break, and end at the same time

Points are counted in 1:2 format (1 point FG, 2 point outside)

Overtime is settled by free throw shootouts

Game Rules:

Teams must be ready to take the court no less than 10 minutes prior to scheduled game time

At least two players are required in order to begin game

All three players must be playing no later than 5 minutes into the first half

Late teams are penalized 2 points per minute late

Teams must be present in 1st half in order to avoid forfeiting (no showing up just for 2nd half)

Games are self-officiated, but a referee is present at all games to make final rulings

Teams are expected to behave appropriately and any fighting will result in removal from the tournament and the Smith Center
