Jan. 16, 2009--The "Yes We Can" Opener in a store on Connecticut Ave. is also available at  According to the promotional copy [spelling errors included], "If Barak Obama wins, it will be a valuable collectible commemorating our nation's first African American president that will sell on Ebay for many hundreds of dollars. And if  Barak Obama loses, you have yourself a can opener." 

The soap bars seem to have a wide distribution in DC.   For sale online ( for $19.50 they are described as, "Clean, clear glycerin soap with the image embedded in the middle of the bar. 4 oz bar, prepackaged in recycled plastic container."  A more high-end line of Obama soap bars, produced by Dallas businessmen Craig Tiritilli and Salah Boukadoum, has not been seen in DC stores (  Their soaps ("the original Obama bar") come in eight aromas such as Global Lemongrass Grape and Sea to Shining Cedar.

Jan. 19, 2009--Tote bags for sale on Connecticut Ave., N.W. (Obama Limited Edition large $90, medium $75; Inauguration large $75; medium $68.  The bags are handmade by Flashbags in Burlington, VT.).
