Beltway Happenings
May 16, 2006--At the Costco in Arlington, Virginia, former Sen. John Edwards and former HUD Secretary Jack Kemp launched a partnership to encourage corporations to offer automatic 401(k) and IRA options to their employees.  The event was organized by the Retirement Security Project which "is dedicated to promoting common sense solutions to improve the retirement income of millions of American workers."  (Above, L-R) Paul, a Costco regional manager, Peter R. Orszag, director of the Retirement Security Project, Kemp, Edwards, and Tawanna, a Costco employee.
(Above) After the event, Sen. Edwards listened to Mary Ann and Bob Hovis of Oakton, VA.  The Hovises supported Edwards in 2004.  Mary Ann Hovis lauded Edwards, saying that, "He didn't stop when the campaign ended," and lauding his bipartisanship.
