(announced March 29, 2007)  A senior partner in the corporate department at the law firm of Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler.  In 2005 he explored running for the Senate seat held by Sen.Hillary Rodham Clinton (withdrew Oct. 14, 2005).  Chair, trustee, director or member of numerous organizations.  Experience includes general counsel to Synfuels Corporation during the Reagan administration and work with President Richard Nixon in the international arena.  Best known as the son-in-law of President Nixon; married Tricia Nixon in 1971.  J.D. from Harvard Law School, 1972; A.B. from Princeton University, Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, 1968.
