May 12, 2006--Gen. Wesley Clark (ret.) joined Congressman Leonard Boswell  in a press conference at the State Capitol where they called for more services for veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.  Ellen and Randy Omvig, whose Iraq War veteran son Joshua took his own life as a result of a worsening post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), also attended the event.  On May 11 the GAO issued a report "Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder: DOD Needs to Identify the Factors Its Providers Use to Make Mental Health Evaluation Referrals for Servicemembers."
