"The Real Barack Obama"
|[Music very low] Male Announcer: In April,
Barack Obama insulted small-town Americans, saying they're bitter and
cling to their guns and religion. It wasn't the first time Sen.
Obama insulted Americans of faith.
In 2006 Obama mocked and ridiculed the Books of Leviticus, Deuteronomy, even laughing at the Sermon on the Mount, taking those passages painfully out of context.
Obama (clips): Should we go with Leviticus, which suggests slavery's okay...
...or we could go with Deuteronomy, which suggests stoning your child...
...or should we just stick to the Sermon on the Mount, a passage that is so radical that it's doubtful that our own Defense Department would survive its application. [aud. rxn]
Male Announcer: Then, Sen. Obama had this to say.
Obama (clip): ...folks haven't been reading the Bible.
Male Announcer: Condescendingly implying that Americans don't know what's in there. The real question is Senator do you know what's in there?

Obama campaign termed the ad "a web video launched by a
political professional and career smear peddler that turns out to be a
cynical and manipulative attack on Barack Obama's reading of the
Bible." Marks responded in a press
release, but one cannot tell what Obama was saying from the series
of short clips strung together in the ad/video.
