Obama for America
60-sec. radio ad run in SC announced Nov. 6, 2007.
Obama: Iím Barack Obama and I approved this message.
[Music] My father left when I was two. I only saw him once after that.
My mother did her best, struggling to take care of my sister and me. But itís hard to heal that hole in your heart.
I think about that when I see young boys running loose on the streets of our community, without that male role modelÖwithout opportunity, hope or direction.
Itís not a hurricane-- just another disaster Washington canít see.
The stakes are so high in this election. Millions of our kids attend failing, underfunded schools. Too many young black men in prison, too few in college. And even in the middle of the worldís richest country, so many are left behind.
Unless we try something different, weíre going to get the same old results; the same tinkering at the edges. The same unkept promises.
This is Barack Obama.
We must change the ways of Washington to bring jobs and better schools and health care to Americaís forgotten places.
Thatís why Iím running for President, South Carolina. Join me.
Male Announcer: Paid for by Obama for America
