April 17, 2003--Director of Scheduling Melissa Winter says of her job, "You have to be able to do a lot of things at once and you have to pay a lot of attention to the small things."   She cited the needs of the finance staff, the political staff and the need to do media interviews.  "I basically try and observe the needs of all the different departments while he's on the road and fit as much of it in as possible...balancing his Senate work and balancing his family obligations too," she stated.
