Koch noted that, "This administration has more high level women than
any other." Cheney spoke passionately about Iraq and the need to
"stay the course." Congresswoman Kay Granger (TX-12) said that Bush
"surrounds himself by smart, good women who help him make decisions."
Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (FL-18) praised Bush's "courageous and
steady leadership." RNC Co-Chairman Ann Wagner took a more partisan
tack, declaring that, "When it comes to Sen. Kerry, W stands for waffling."
"The only issue on which Sen. Kerry has shown any consistency is taxes,"
