-Amb. Moseley Braun spoke at an event sponsored by American Women Presidents, a political action committee, at Hotel Fort Des Moines in Des Moines, Iowa on February 15, 2003. (First stop of a three-state pre-announcement tour--NH on Feb. 16 and SC on Feb. 17). This event occurred during the big President's Day weekend snow storm; according to the Des Moines Register's Thomas Beaumont, it attracted exactly one person, in addition to media and organizers.
