Bush-Cheney '04, Inc.

30-second ad announced Oct. 22, 2004.

Voice Over: In an increasingly dangerous world…

Even after the first terrorist attack on America…

John Kerry and the liberals in Congress voted to slash America’s intelligence operations.

By 6 billion dollars…

Cuts so deep they would have weakened America’s defenses.

And weakness attracts those who are waiting to do America harm.

President Bush: I’m George W. Bush and I approve this message.

Notes and Observations:  This ad was compared to the "bear in the woods" ad run by the Reagan-Bush 1984 campaign.  The DNC responded with "Eagle," although it's not clear that it actually ran that ad.  The Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund responded with a press release.
