The University schedules one major convocation during the academic year- the Spring Commencement in May- and other convocations from time to time throughout the academic year. Members of the faulty are expected to participate in the academic processions on these occasions. All full-time faculty members who are interested in purchasing academic regalia will receive a one-time-only reimbursement by the University of $200 toward the cost of purchasing cap and gown. Original receipts should be submitted to the Office of University Events, Rice Hall 504. Faculty preferring to rent academic regalia may make arrangements to do so through the University Bookstore.
