First we suggest you call us at (202)-973-1032 for information about the program! To apply you need to have the following.

For the M.A. or EdS. Program

  • Completion of a B.A. or B.S. degree in special education or a related field
  • Minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75
  • Fiftieth percentile scores on the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or the Millers Analogies Test (MAT)

For EdS. Program

  • Completion of masters degree in special education or closely related field
  • Fiftieth percentile scores on the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or the Millers Analogies Test (MAT)

For the Graduate Certificate Program

  • Completion of a B.A. or B.S. degree in special education or a related field
  • Minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75 for either program


The following material must be submitted with your application to the admissions office:

  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Official transcripts
  • A current resume
  • A written statement of purpose and goals related to field of special education and brain injury
  • GRE (Graduate Record Exam) or MAT (Millers Analogies Test) scores for MA and Ed.S. programs. (Not required for the Graduate Certificate Program)
