Safety and security at The George Washington University is the comprehensive effort to provide a safe and secure campus for all university students, faculty and staff.
The Office of Safety and Security is led by Darrell Darnell, Senior Associate Vice President for Safety and Security and underneath his leadership are the following units:
The Senior Associate Vice President for Safety and Security reports directly to the Executive Vice President and Treasurer.
Mission
The mission of the Office of Safety and Security is to provide a safe and secure campus environment for all members of the University community. This mission is achieved through active participation of all University members and partnerships with local law enforcement and community partners.
Vision
The George Washington University Office of Safety and Security aims to be the nation's premier provider of safety and security preparedness for an institution of higher education.
