Online Learning

GW offers select undergraduate and graduate degrees, certificates and individual courses exclusively online, as well as opportunities that combine online and classroom learning.

GW’s diverse options for online learning suit a variety of needs. Our online programs allow students the opportunity for associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees; undergraduate and graduate certificates; and a Ph.D. As well, online classes are available as individual courses, in conjunction with an on-campus program, or as part of an entirely online program.

Online courses and programs extend to all parts of the GW community, offering the GW experience to:

  • Working professionals and others unable to attend classes on campus
  • Students looking to supplement their on-campus classes
  • Students studying abroad
  • Student who have gone home for the summer
  • Faculty conducting research around the world

We honor our mandate to provide the highest quality academic experience by using the latest technologies and best practices to expand opportunities for every GW student—on campus and around the world. GW has taken a leadership role in online learning and has achieved national recognition with leaders in professional organizations.
