The George Washington University encourages graduate students to take advantage of a full array of support services throughout their programs of study.
You’ll find service descriptions as well as contact information for key offices and organizations in The Source, the resource guide provided to all new graduate students before their first semester begins. Other key resources:
- Your academic department and faculty adviser will be your first point of contact for information and support. Together with staff and administrators in your school’s Office of the Dean, they will work with you to answer questions about academic policies and procedures, resolve any problems and direct you to specialized services.
- Financial Services

The GW Career Center provides career and employment resources—including the GWork job listing service—to graduate students in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences and the Schools of Media and Public Affairs and the School of Education and Human Development.
