Cancellation of Nonstudent Temporary Wage Account Positions
Nonstudent temporary wage account positions are categorized as pooled positions. Because other nonstudent temporary wage account employees might be assigned to the pooled position number or the department anticipates the need to hire a nonstudent temporary wage account employee in a similar capacity, the pooled position may remain active.

However, if a nonstudent temporary wage account position was established for a specific purpose and is no longer relevant upon termination or transfer of the nonstudent temporary wage account employee, the department should submit a written request to the applicable centralized fiscal office requesting that the pooled position number be cancelled. In addition, the centralized fiscal office may periodically cancel nonstudent temporary wage account pooled position numbers that have been inactive for an extended period of time.
