Student Employment Opportunities

Whether you are seeking a job lobbying on Capitol Hill, helping a faculty member in a campus department, or waiting tables in a Foggy Bottom restaurant, GW offers you many resources to help you find employment opportunities that meet your needs.  Obtaining the best work experience for you requires understanding your options, determining when and which experiences are right for you, and reflecting on your learning.

As a GW student, your degree program entitles you to use the services of your school based career center, including career consulting and job search preparation.  Click Here to identify your specific career center for individualized assistance.

The main University Career Center manages GW's online employment listings service known as GWork.  The Web site makes it easy for you to manage your job-search activities, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. All GW students and alumni may use GWork to search and apply for part-time (including all Federal Work Study jobs) and full-time jobs, internships, and temporary employment.  All incoming students automatically are registered in GWork and receive an account.    To log into GWork, Click Here

Many full and part-time staff and research positions on the GW campuses qualify for tuition remission.  Please visit our Staff and/or Research pages to learn more about finding these jobs.
