Emergency/Back-Up Family Care

Give your loved one the next best thing to being there…give them a CCLC care provider. Teen and adult children, spouses/domestic partners, parents, grandparents, and in-laws may all qualify for this benefit.

The CCLC® Adult/Elder Care provider network consists of contracted, pre-screened home care agencies. When you can’t be with your loved one, it’s natural that you want only the best care for him or her. That’s why all the providers in CCLC’s Adult/Elder Care network conduct comprehensive employment screenings, background checks, and health and safety training with all of their staff — and why CCLC is committed to selecting quality agency and caregiver services.

Adult/Elder Care At-A-Glance

IN-HOME ONLY

• Number of uses per calendar year: 5 total uses per year (includes child and adult back-up care)

• Co-pay: $6 per hour/per use

• Caring for ages: 18 years and up

George Washington University subsidizes the majority of the program’s cost. There are no monthly costs or fees for you; you only pay a minimal co-payment when you use the care services.

What we’ll need to know:

• Your name, George Washington ID number (GWid), phone, address, and contact information

• Information about the family members you want to enroll (name, age, health and medical information, emergency contacts)
