GW's Healthy Pregnancy Program

If you are pregnant and you participate in GW’s health insurance plan, we encourage you to participate in GW’s Healthy Pregnancy Program.  The program is also open to your spouse or partner if they are on GW’s health plan.  If you are not on GW’s health plan, CLICK HERE.

Get Rewarded for Participating:

Beginning in 2013, Healthy Pregnancy Program participants have the opportunity to earn financial incentives for participating in this program. You will receive $100 if you enroll during your first trimester and $75 for enrolling during your second trimester. In addition, all participants who complete the program will receive an additional $150. All incentives will be paid via GW payroll within 2 months of enrollment or completion once notice is received by UnitedHealthcare.

Individual participation in this program is confidential and will not be shared outside of the Colonial Community team.

By participating in GW’s Healthy Pregnancy Program, you will have access to:

• 24-hour toll-free access to experienced nurses

• Identification of participant risks and individual needs

• Free prenatal kit including 3 books, 7 guides, bib, diaper/bottle bag, onesie, and magnet with baby’s immunization schedule

• Pregnancy and childbirth education materials and resources

• Access to Online Healthy Pregnancy Owner’s Manual

• Individual consultation and referral service for identifying appropriate child care options

• Discounts on breast pumps

• Access to other important services to support emotional and financial health

• Complimentary gifts and money-saving coupons

Your participation in this program is confidential and will not be shared with anyone outside of the Colonial Community team.

Enroll Now:

There are two steps to enroll in GW's Healthy Pregnancy Program

1. Complete the GW registration form
2. Register with UnitedHealthcare Healthy Pregnancy Program by calling 1-800-411-7984

To receive your financial incentive you must register with UnitedHealthcare (UHC). When you first enroll in UHC’s Healthy Pregnancy Program you will complete an initial assessment with a trained provider. S/he will ask you questions about your:
* Medical history
* Maternal risk factors
* General demographics (age, race, etc)

The information you provide during your assessment is protected under HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and will not be disclosed to anyone at GW. The only information that GW will receive is your name, birthday, home address (for mailing information to your home after your baby is born), and expected delivery date. However, this detailed information is very important for UHC to ensure they provide you with the best care possible.
