Start! Walking Challenge

Registration Instructions

Question: I want to start using MyStart! Online to begin tracking my physical activity for the Colonial Community Start! Walking Challenge. What do I do?

 Answer:  Go to: http://www.startwalkingnow.org/mystart_tracker.jsp.  Click on the “Register” link in the upper right hand.

 Your password does not have a minimum number of characters needed. Nor do you need to provide a character or number.

 

Please remember the following three items:

1. In order to be included in the Colonial Community walking challenge, you must use the correct name for “Company” when registering on-line. Under the “Company” box click “Search for Company” and search for “The George Washington University”.  

2. When you select The George Washington University from Company list, “20037” will be entered for the Zip Code.  This is the zip code for the Colonial Community office. Do no change the zip code.

3. Under “Preferences”, make sure you click the first opt-in box.  This grants access to Colonial Community for viewing your physical activity information. Due to security, privacy and legal reasons, we can not include your individual physical activity for purposes of the competition if this first box is not checked. Also, please note neither height nor weight will ever be shared with Colonial Community, AHA, etc.

NOTE: You can change your preferences, company name, etc. easily by clicking on the “Edit Profile” button inside the tool.

 Once registered, it is helpful to bookmark the website for easy access. Once at the MyStart! Online homepage, enter your user name and password in the orange box entitled: “Log In.”
