United Way Campaign

The United Way Campaign for 2012-2013 is undergoing a timeline change.  This change will enable us to work more effectively with the United Way to address our community’s most pressing needs.

As GW employees, we pride ourselves on being strong supporters of our community.  One of the most important ways to provide that support is by contributing to the United Way.  No matter how much you choose to give, your donations will have a direct impact on the lives of people in our community.  You may want to help by supporting the whole range of programs covered by the National Capital Area’s Community Impact Funds.  Or you may choose to designate all or a portion of your pledge to a specific agency.  Either way, all donations are voluntary, completely confidential, and tax-deductible.

The campaign will start in early Spring of 2013.  Further details and information will be forthcoming.  Remember, collectively, we can make a significant difference!

If you currently give under GW's United Way campaign, you have the option of continuing your current gift to your current designations from January through the new campaign start date.  United Way calls this move a roll-over.  If you do not wish to have your gift roll-over into 2013, please contact yourlife@gwu.edu with the message: “Please discontinue my current payroll deduction United Way contribution effective December 31, 2012.”

If you do not currently give to United Way under GW's campaign but would like to make a gift prior to Spring 2013, please give directly through the United Way website.
