Business Administration: Accelerated
Program Overview
This program incorporates business ethics, corporate responsibility, leadership, globalization, teamwork, experiential learning and communications and analytical skills. The rigorous curriculum is enhanced by collaboration with an impressive cross-section of professionals from the public, private and nongovernmental sectors.
The first year of the Accelerated Professional M.B.A. follows a cohort format with a set schedule. Students participate in an online-preparatory course and a weekend-long orientation residency prior to the start of the program. The second year provides students with the flexibility to choose from an array of elective offerings.
Our program allows students to focus in a number of disciplines, including accountancy; decisions sciences and operations management, environmental management and policy; finance and investments; health services administration; human resources management; information systems management; international business; management of science, technology and innovation; marketing; organizational behavior and development; real estate and urban development; small business and entrepreneurship; sport management; strategic management and public policy; and tourism, hospitality, event and sport management.
Through special credit-hour transfer arrangements, students may also earn joint degrees: an M.B.A./J.D. degree with the GW Law School, an M.B.A./M.A. degree with the Elliott School of International Affairs or an M.B.A./M.S.F. degree within the School of Business.
To accommodate the schedules of working professionals, most classes are offered weeknights between 4:30 and 10 p.m. and on Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. All classes are taught on our Foggy Bottom Campus.
