All reproductions of Special Collections Research Center materials are performed by library staff. We can photocopy or digitally scan collection material. Please be aware that some collection material may be too fragile to reproduce. Other collection material may be subject to copyright restrictions. Although staff will make every effort to ensure that copyright law is obeyed, it is the patron’s responsibility to ensure that copyright restrictions are observed. Because library staff and facilities are limited, it may not be possible to provide immediate copying service, especially if large numbers of copies are requested. At the discretion of library staff, orders will be taken for later pick-up or delivery.
The fee schedule for reproduction services are in the process of being updated. The current price structure, pending official review, is listed below. Please consult with Special Collections Research Center staff for more information.
| Photocopies | $0.25/page + $10/hr. after the first hour of staff time |
Low Resolution Scans (400 dpi and under) | $1.00/scan + $10/hr. after the first hour of staff time |
High Resolution Scans (600 dpi and higher) | $5.00/scan + $10/hr. after the first hour of staff time |
Audio & Video Dubbing | Audio cassettes tapes, video tapes, CDs, and DVDs can be dubbed in-house at a price of $20 each. Other formats will have to be reproduced by outside service providers. Special Collections will choose the provider and will charge their price plus a 50% mark-up for handling. |
Delivery Methods | Reproductions can be picked up in person or shipped. Shipping and handling charges will be $5 per shipment for materials that can be mailed in an envelope. Shipments requiring a box will be charged at $10 per box. Reproductions may also be delivered electronically via web server, without shipping costs. |
For large orders, a partial payment of 50% will be required in advance. Staff will provide the researcher with an estimate of costs. Once the order has been completed, the patron will be invoiced for the remainder of the order. Once payment has been received, the order will be given to the patron or shipped, as arranged.
