Refworks is an online tool for organizing your research and creating bibliographies, brought to you by the Gelman Library. RefWorks allows you to store and file your references in different folders, add research notes or other information, and format your paper, dissertation, or other research project with the click of a button. Additionally, because RefWorks is an online tool, you have access to your account from any computer and you can easily locate the items using the Find-It button! Below are some tools to help you get started.

RefWorks Workshops at Gelman
Gelman offers workshops on getting started with Refworks. All workshops take place on Thursday afternoon or evening in room 300 of Gelman Library. To attend any of these workshops, please fill out the
Workshop RSVP form.
- 11/20 6 - 7 PM Beginner
- 12/4 3 - 4 PM Advanced
- 12/11 6 - 7 PM Advanced
Beginning sessions cover: creating a RefWorks account, importing citations from library databases, organizing references into folders, and creating a stand-alone bibliography.
Advanced sessions focus on using RefWorks with Microsoft Word to format in-text citations and other features of RefWorks
If you are unable to attend any of these workshops, please contact the Refworks Support Team to request an individual appointment.
Group Code
You can use this code when attempting to access your RefWorks account from an off-campus location when using the Write-N-Cite feature. You will NOT need to use this code if you access your RefWorks through the Gelman Library RefWorks page or the ALADIN Research Portal.
