- ALADIN Catalog
- Choose “Journal Title” from menu to the right of the search box.
- How to find Periodicals
- Detailed instructions on how to find periodical holdings
- Where to Find Periodicals
- Locations of periodicals, both inside and outside Gelman Library.
- On ALADIN click on WRLC
Libraries Catalog. Click on “Journal Title” on the Search
By menu to the right of the search box.
- Type the name of the journal or periodical in the search box, then click
“Search.”
- The result of the search appears as shown below.

On the list, you may notice multiple listings for the same journal. We have
multiple records for the same thing, depending on the item’s location
and format. So, if we have a periodical title in print, in microform, or off-site,
there would be 3 records for the same item.
Note: You may also notice that holdings of the item
in other libraries appear on the results list. This is because the ALADIN
Catalog includes the holdings of all 9 libraries within the WRLC. Make
sure you click on GW items if you are looking for holdings in the Gelman
Library. You may also limit your search to GW items by clicking on the
“Post Limit” button and limiting by location.
- To find out if we have the volume or date you are looking for in the Gelman
Library, click on the full record for the item from the results list. You
may need to click all records for the item to find out if we have the particular
volume you are looking for but in a different format or location (i.e. microform,
e-journal, database collection).
- Below is a detailed record of a periodical holding, which gives more
information about the location, holdings, format, and status of the
item.
- If the periodical you are looking for is not in Gelman Library or if Gelman
Library does not own the particular date or volume you want, check the holdings
of the other WRLC Libraries. You may have to request the item you want from
another school, using the Consortium
Loan Service or Interlibrary Loan.
