Use it for:Linking Google Scholar to GWU articles and books and to RefWorks.

Why use it?Because you can get to the full text of articles or to books that you find through Google Scholar and save your citations.


      Print It!

Step 1
Go to the Google Scholar website and click on Scholar Preferences

Step 2
Go to "Library Links," type in "GWU" and click "Find Library"

  1. George Washington University (FindIt@GWU Libraries) comes up as an option. Click the checkbox to select it.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen; under "Bibliography Manager" click on "Show links to import citations", and choose "RefWorks."
  3. Save your preferences.

Step 2
Search for your topic using Google’s basic or advanced search. To get to GW copies and full text when it is available:

  1. Click on the FindIt@GWU Libraries link next to the result you want.
  2. On the new page, click on the "Go" button to get the full-text article online or to find the book in the ALADIN catalog.
  3. To save your citations into RefWorks, click on the "Import into RefWorks" link.
