Find E-Journals

Use it for:Looking for a specific article you already have the citation
for or for a journal title online.
Why use it?Because it saves you time by searching for a journal
through all our databases at once.


      Print It!

Step 1
Go to the Gelman Library website and click on E-Journals.

Step 2
Search for the title of the journal, magazine, or newspaper your article is in (take out any beginning article, such as "the" or "an"), or for keywords in the title.

Step 3
Look at your results for GW; the link/s listed tell you:

  • Database(s) that have full-text for this journal
  • Years full-text is available—was your article published within these years?

Step 4
Click the link(s) next to GW to get to your article. You'll be prompted to login if you're off campus.

Step 5
On the next screen click on the "Full text available link again. In most cases, you'll see a list of all available years/volumes/issues that you can just click to find your article. In a few databases, you'll have to search for your article.

Can’t find your article?

If you can’t find your article online, check the ALADIN Catalog to find out if the journal is available in print at Gelman or one of the other libraries. You can request then request the article and get it electronically!
