Media Resources Center
Media Resources houses the audio/video collection of the Gelman Library. Located on the lower level of the library,
it provides in-house use of approximately 6,000 items in the collection. In addition to educational media materials, Gelman's Media Resources collection includes Best Picture nominees, award-winning documentaries, and GW-produced multimedia resources.
The Media Resources Center introduced streaming video for Blackboard course reserves during the 2007-2008 school year. This highly successful service has made accessing media course reserves easier for students, and we encourage faculty members to take advantage of it in the future.
Coming in Fall 2008, all GW patrons will be able to check out media materials. This is an exciting new development, as borrowing privileges are currently restricted to GW faculty only. As we implement this new service in the fall, please be aware that circulation policies, including fines, will be strictly enforced. Patrons not affiliated with GW will be able to use media materials in the Media Resources Viewing Room; however, they will not be able to check materials out. Stay tuned for more information!
