Dissertation Express
Dissertation Express enables GW students, staff, and faculty to purchase high-quality copies of dissertations from U.S. universities at reduced prices. Unbound, shrink-wrapped copies of dissertations that would normally sell for $34 from ProQuest Digital Dissertations can be purchased through Dissertation Express for $10 or $15, depending on delivery method.
Costs
You can order up to 5 dissertations per semester at Dissertation Express' reduced prices. If you order more than 5 dissertations during one semester, however, you will need to pay the higher cost for the 6th and subsequent dissertations.

To Request Dissertations
- Fill out the online request form. Please submit a separate request for each dissertation you wish to order.
- Search the Dissertation Abstracts/ProQuest Digital Dissertations database to obtain the following information for each dissertation you want to order:
- Author
- Title
- University
- Date
- Publication Number
See the Dissertations Research Guide for guidelines on using this database. Keep in mind that many disserations can be downloaded at no cost from Dissertation Abstracts/ProQuest Digital Dissertations.

Dissertation Express cannot provide dissertations that are not included in the Dissertation Abstracts/ProQuest Digital Dissertations database.

After your request has been submitted, please allow 5-7 business days for the dissertation copy to arrive at Gelman Library.

Upon arrival, you will be notified via email that your dissertation can be picked up at the Gelman Library Circulation Desk. Payment is due at time of pickup.

If you would prefer to have dissertation copies delivered to your mailing address, please click here to open a printable request form. Please mail the compeleted form, along with payment of $15.00 per title ordered, to:
