Submitting Content: Getting Started
All members of The George Washington University's faculty as well as research fellows on campus may load content or request that content be loaded on their behalf, as long as doing so does not violate copyright or other laws. In addition, any students authorized by members of the faculty or by research fellows may also either load content to the appropriate location or request that content be loaded for them.
If you are a faculty member or a research fellow at The George Washington University, you are automatically authorized to include content in the institutional repository. Simply contact the Scholarly Communication office at scholcom@gwu.edu to get help getting started.
If you are a graduate, undergraduate, or an alumni and wish to have content loaded into the institutional repository, you must first contact a current faculty member to get his/her authorization to include your content. The faculty member should send a short email to scholcom@gwu.edu stating that you have been given authorization. Please ask the faculty member to use the following in the Subject line of the email:
"Authorization to load content into the institutional repository granted to " [your name].
In the body of the email, the professor should indicate the school and department with which he/she is affiliated.
Once that authorization is received, you will be added to the list of authorized contributors and can begin the process of working with the Scholarly Communication Services staff to get your content loaded by contacting them at: scholcom@gwu.edu.
