The Reference and Instruction Department offers a variety of services to help GW students, faculty, and staff locate, evaluate, and use information.

Reference Desk

If you have any type of question regarding a research project or finding information, stop at the Reference Desk on 1st floor. You can also reach the desk by phone at (202) 994-6048.

Ask A Librarian

Chat online in real time with a librarian or send us your questions by e-mail (for current GWU faculty, students and staff).

Library Instruction

Librarians will work with GW faculty to provide instruction for students in using library and information resources.

Research Assistance Appointment

Schedule an individual session with a librarian (for current GWU faculty, students and staff only).

Research Guides

Guides to information sources in paticular subject areas and for specifc classes at GW.
