Printing, Scanning and PhotocopyingPrintingTo print from any computer in the Gelman Library, you need a GWorld or Courtesy Card with sufficient funds. Cost of printing is $0.09 per printed page.
There is a color printer in the computer lab in the Lower Level run by ISS. Cost of printing is $0.85. There are no library-owned color printers. Double-sided printing is not recommended when printing from library printers--it often causes paper jams. Wireless Printing Wireless printing is available to current GW students, faculty and staff, who have G1 accounts. Users can release their print jobs at Academic Technologies labs. Visit the GWireless Printing page for more information. Wireless printing is not available on the 1st, 3rd and 6th floor printers in Gelman Library. Printing from personal computers, such as laptops, is not available on Gelman Library printers on the 1st, 3rd and 6th floors. If you do not have a GWorld Card or did not bring it with you, you may purchase a courtesy card to print your documents. Value Transfer Stations (VTS) dispense courtesy cards for $1. VTS are located on the 1st and 3rd floors. Add money to your GWorld or courtesy card using the VTS machines on the 1st and 3rd floors. These machines only take bills and do not give change. You can add money to your GWorld card online at the GWorld website. Reprint and Print Credit Policies We only allow reprints or print credit refunds for printer or computer malfunctions. We DO NOT issue reprints or refunds attributed to user carelessness or error. Inform reference staff if you need to reprint your document because of a computer or printer malfunction. Print Credit refunds are available to patrons with GWorld Cards (GWorld cards are issued to you by the GWorld Office and has a photo of you). The refund comes in the form of print credits and can only be used to print on the 1st, 3rd, and 6th floors of the Gelman Library. If you used a Courtesy Card to print, please ask for a reprint instead. Print credit refunds cannot be issued to courtesy cards. ScanningThere are two scanners available for use in the computer lab run by Academic Technologies in the Lower Level. There is no cost for scanning. PhotocopyingSelf-service photocopiers are available on the 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 7th Floors of Gelman . To make photocopies a patron must have 1.) a GWorld with Colonial Cash or Debit Dollars OR 2.) a courtesy card with sufficient funds to copy. Courtesy cards are available for purchase from automated Value Transfer Stations (VTS) located on the first and third floors of Gelman Library. Each card itself costs $1, and the VTS accepts only bills. Once you have a card, you can use the VTS to add bills to the card in order to copy.
