Membership Levels and Benefits

There are eight levels of Membership in the Friends of the George Washington University Libraries. Each category includes the benefits described for that category plus the benefits described in the previous categories. The membership year is July 1 through June 30.

Supporter ($100 - $249)

Access to the Gelman Library

Access to bibliographic and reference services

Sponsor ($250 - $499)

Borrow up to 10 books at a time from Gelman Library

Book renewal by telephone 24 hours a day

Patron ($500 - $999)

Borrow up to 20 books at a time from Gelman Library

Book renewal by telephone 24 hours a day

Benefactor ($1,000 - $4,999)

Unlimited borrowing from Gelman Library

Book renewal by telephone 24 hours a day

Borrow up to 5 books/year via Interlibrary Loan

Librarian's Circle ($5,000 or more)

Borrow up to 10 books/year via InterLibrary Loan.
