Counseling
This guide lists major print and Web-based resources of interest to students
and faculty in the George Washington University Graduate School of Education
and Human Development, specifically in the Counseling program. The print
resources are all available at Gelman Library, but
may also be available at other libraries in the consortia. This guide is

is the largest association of psychologists worldwide. This site provides
information about APA, career information, conferences, consumer health
information, a code of ethics, and the latest in psychology news.

with publications, practices, ethical standards, and related problems.
- National Board for Certified
Counselors & Affiliates

- NBCC is the largest certification service of the counseling profession.
The organization provides information about certification/ recertification,
examinations, ethics, and news.
To access databases with a location of "ALADIN", click on the
title of the database. To see a list of databases available through ALADIN,
go to the ALADIN Home Page; and under
Databases by Title on the right side of the screen, choose from the three
alphabetical groupings.
ALADIN databases are available for use only by current GW students, staff,
and faculty. If you are using this page from off-campus, you will be prompted
to enter the barcode number from the back of your GWorld ID card before
