How to Find Books About a Person

Use the ALADIN Catalog. Click on the 'Guided Keyword' tab and enter the person's name. In the 'Search In:' drop-down menu, select 'Subject'. This will return books about that person.

Monthly publication with biographies of important people of the day. Cummulated and indexed annually into Current Biography and Current Biography Yearbook, at the same call number.

This is an excellent resource for in-depth biography. Many entries have bibliographies that will lead you to additional resources on that person.

Lexis-Nexis Academis Universe: Reference: Biographical Information.

Click on 'Reference' in the list on the lefthand side of the screen, under the heading 'Academic Search Forms'. Then click on 'Biographical Information'. A search returns the full text of journal and newspaper articles about individuals, including obituaries.
