- A comprehensive listing of journal articles published worldwide on
architecture and design, archaeology, city planning, interior design,
and historic preservation. Coverage is from the 1930s (with selective
coverage dating back to the 1860s) to the present.

- Full-text of articles from Contemporary Authors, Contemporary Literary
Criticism, and Dictionary of Literary Biography. Especially good for
locating biographical information on writers and scholarly studies of
contemporary writers.

International Bibliography

- Indexes journal articles, books and dissertations focusing on language
and literature. Produced by the Modern Language Association, coverage
is from 1963 to the present.

- Indexes the contents pages of over 1200 humanities and social sciences
journals from 1770 to 1990/1991, searchable by keyword, title, author
and journal title.

published by university presses. Includes American Quarterly, the official
publication of the American Studies Association, from 1996 to the present.

Abstracts

- Abstracts and indexes the international literature in sociology and
related disciplines in the social and behavioral sciences. Provides
abstracts of journal articles and citations to book reviews, as well

- American Memory provides access to primary source materials relating
to the history and culture of the United States. The site offers more
than 7 million digital items from more than 100 historical collections.
- American Periodicals Series
- Originally on microfilm, and now available online, this series consists of the full text of over 1,100 American journals and magazines dating from 1741 up to World War II. (Note that the apparent end date of 1900 is misleading; coverage is up to 1941 on microfilm and online.)

Included in the collection are pamphlets, periodicals, documents, biographies and autobiographies, fictional works, poetry, collections of various kinds, materials of foreign origin relating to America, and many rare books not generally available.
