How to Copy/Paste

  1. In ALADIN, the Detailed Display of the item you wish to request should be visible on your screen. The Detailed Display includes information such as the Title, Author, Publisher, Call Number, and Status. If you have questions on searching ALADIN, see the ALADIN Catalog Help pages.

  2. Place the pointer at the top of the detailed information about the item you wish to request, next to the word "Title." Click and hold the left mouse button, and move your pointer to the end of the Detailed Display (just before the "Previous" button at the bottom of the page). This is called selecting the text, which should now be highlighted. When you reach the "Previous" button, release the mouse button. The selected text should remain highlighted. If not, repeat this step.

  3. Pull down the Edit menu at the top of the page and select Copy.

  4. Return to the Consortium Loan Request form and click in the box where you want to paste the information. It may help to have two browsers open. To open another browser, pull down the File menu and select New, then Navigatior Window. You can then have one window open in ALADIN and other open to the request form.

  5. After you've clicked in the box where you want to paste the information, pull down the Edit menu at the top of the page and select Paste. The information you copied from ALADIN should now appear in the box on the request form.
