Media Collections

The George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs is at the forefront of investigating the media's role in a demographic society. Gelman Library supports this endeavor with collections including the Jack Anderson Papers and a comprehensive archive of Mutual Broadcasting Network audio recordings representing the second half of the 20th century. A campaign is underway to raise funds to preserve the papers of Jack Anderson, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist known for his investigative work spanning more than 50 years. We are also seeking funds for the Mutual Broadcasting Network Collection. Combined, the media collections at Gelman library illustrate a comprehensive and compelling picture of 20th century American history.
