Documenting the history of the University and its Foggy Bottom neighborhood, the George Washington University Archives include records of the academic and administrative units of the University and its predecessor, Columbian College; alumni and faculty papers; yearbooks, student newspapers, and campus publications; photographs, videotapes, oral histories, and related artifacts. In addition to the physical collection, Gelman Library archivists maintain the electronic George Washington University and Foggy Bottom Historical Encyclopedia, available online for public access.
