Friends of the Libraries contribute to the vitality of The George Washington University while enjoying special access to Library System events and exhibits. With your membership donation, you'll join a diverse group of library supporters who share your commitment to learning and your interest in the world around you. A donation of $100 or more gives you access to Gelman Library and invitations to special events. With a donation of $250 or more, you'll also enjoy Gelman Library borrowing privileges. Your Friends contribution ensures your membership for the fiscal year (July 1 through June 30). Membership levels are as follows:

| GW Staff | $10 |
| Associate | $35-$99 |
| Supporter | $100-$249 |
| Sponsor* | $250-$499 |
| Patron | $500-$999 |
| Benefactor | $1,000-$4,999 |
| Librarian's Circle | $5000 or more |
*Retired Gelman Library System staff with 15 or more years of service enjoy the benefits of the Sponsor level by joining at the GW Staff level.
