Cash Gifts

Compared to other types of giving, a cash gift maximizes the charitable deduction from your taxable income and makes an immediate impact on The Gelman Library System. Cash gifts may be in the form of outright gifts, payroll deductions, or pledge payments, generally payable within five years of the initial pledge. If your employer offers a matching program, the dollar amount of your gift may be doubled at no additional cost to you.

With a gift of $50,000 or more, given over a period of up to five years, you can establish an endowed fund. Named for you or a loved one, an endowed fund will provide financial support for the program of your choice for generations to come. View our Endowments page for examples of existing endowed funds.

Call the Office of Advancement at (202) 994-8928 to discuss a gift to The Gelman Library System, or use our secure giving page to donate online.
