The George Washington University will hold a series of events to celebrate Veterans Day. Coverage details for each event follows.

Veterans Day Celebration with GW Student Veterans 

GW student veterans will participate in a wreath laying ceremony and demonstrate military-style physical training activities including an obstacle course and a pull-up and push-up contest. This event is part of a series of activities sponsored by the Student Veterans Association taking place throughout the week of Nov. 9.

WHEN:
Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009; 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Wreath Laying Ceremony at 11 a.m.

GW Community Care Package Assembly

Members of the GW community will gather to assemble care packages for troops.

Mission Serve: Forging a Continuum of Service Ceremony

First Lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden, will address the GW community in a special Veterans Day ceremony at Lisner Auditorium. The event will be emceed by MTV VJ Sway and feature "The Telling Project," a theatrical production wherein veterans tell their stories of service.
