Dr. Ellen Goldman Dr. Goldman directs
the Master Teacher Leadership Development Program, a partnership
between GSEHD and the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
She has been a consultant in the healthcare industry for 30 years,
assisting clients with strategy formulation; mergers and acquisitions;
growth initiatives, and board and leadership development. Dr.
Goldman has worked with over 300 hospitals and healthcare systems
nationwide, and published three books and numerous articles on
healthcare strategy-related topics. Her dissertation, which won
two Academy of Management (AOM) awards, concerned the development
of the ability to think strategically among healthcare CEOs. In
addition to teaching at GW, Dr. Goldman serves as core faculty
for the American College of Healthcare Executives and is an active
member of the Management Education and Development Division of
AOM. Dr. Goldman’s current research interests include adult
and organizational learning as it relates to strategic thinking
and leadership development.
