Undergraduate Research Training
The Center for Undergraduate Fellowships and Research offers programs through which students engage in research and interact closely with faculty members.
Some of GW’s highlighted programs include:
- University George Gamow Undergraduate Fellowship
- Luther Rice Collaborative Fellowship
- Lewis N. Cotlow Fund
- Institute for Biomedical Engineering Undergraduate Research Fellowship programs
- NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates in biology
Undergraduate research experiences provide invaluable preparation for students interested in pursuing nationally-competitive fellowships that recognize academic and extracurricular excellence. The center also assists students in their applications for national fellowships, many of which support independent research, including the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and the J. William Fulbright programs.
